I'm an expat psychologist registered with the Dutch Association of Psychologists (NIP) and am passionate about using my expertise and international experience to help expats live happier abroad.
I have over six years work experience and a doctorate in psychology focusing on positive psychology and mindfulness.
I grew up as an expat child, have been an expat partner and lived in over seven countries so that I've personally experienced the challenges around living abroad.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
I offer online sessions so that you can contact me from anywhere in the world.
I'll reply to your E-Mail within 2 working days and answer any of your questions. We'll schedule our first session (50 minutes) within the next two weeks. Further sessions are usually held weekly for six weeks, depending on your needs. You determine the session frequency and length.
Payment & Refund
A free 15 minute session is available to see whether we're a fit. Payment is made via PayPal prior to each session for which you receive an invoice. Cancellations or changes must take place 24 hours prior to our session, otherwise the session fee must be paid.
I am registered with the Dutch Association of Psychologists (NIP). Most international and some Dutch health insurances cover counseling by NIP psychologists. However, the refund policies differ among health insurances. Please contact your insurance about their policy to be sure.
My counseling approach is based on Positive Psychology and Mindfulness and I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work holistically, which means that I take both personal and environmental factors into account in order to help you live more happy. This allows me to tailor each session to your unique situation.
Please note that counseling is not equivalent to psychotherapy. Some issues and especially personal crises require a personal and long-term therapeutic contact. In these cases, it is advisable to contact a psychotherapist in person. I can help you with this.
